I used a reference image to recreate these 1912 combination knickers to be worn under an Edwardian corset. The knickers are made of 100% cotton, including the many metres of lace trimming. They are crotchless (a feature which was absolutely necessary when worn with a corset), with a buttoned centre front opening. The inlaid lace was applied by zig-zagging down each section onto the cotton piece, cutting the excess from behind, pressing back a small seam allowance, and zig-zagging over the edge a second time.
